Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a research-intensive university currently ranked 11th globally (QS ranking), placed 1st in Asia and amongst the world’s best young universities. The university is also home to world-class autonomous institutes and various leading research centres.
Established in 2014, the Complexity Institute at NTU is becoming a global centre for Complexity research. Organised to facilitate transdisciplinary team-based science, we are a centre for transdisciplinary research and teaching on complexity and complex adaptive systems. We study how interactions within a system and its environment generate its dynamical patterns of behaviour.
The Complexity Institute seeks applications for multiple positions in our research team for Virtual Singapore, a government-funded simulation and modelling project conducted together with GovTech, SingHealth, and the Singapore Civil Defence Force. The project focuses on optimising emergency medical systems using 3D modelling and simulation of built public spaces.
